Toulouse Lautrec's, "The Kiss" is told as
much through color as
image (L) as is Claude Monet's "House of Parliament, London, Sun Breaking
Through Fog" (R). What the smart lighting designer understands is that color and
lighting as much as anything else, if not even more so, can carry a scene and
leave an impression more powerful than elaborate sets.
